The New York City Lunch

As a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist working in both the outpatient setting and in private practice, I have found that regardless of income, socioeconomic status, race or gender, 75% of all New Yorkers eat the same way for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Here is an example of a 24-Hour Recall that I might see from the average New Yorker: Breakfast - bacon, egg and cheese on bagel, 1 cup coffee (with milk and sugar) Lunch - 1 slice cheese pizza Dinner - arbitrary takeout option I have seen so many co-workers, patients and clients eat exactly the above in their diet recalls and just from my observations. Which brings me to my question, how are you all still alive?
